As a sophomore this past season, Ellis totaled 36 tackles, three sacks, 11 tackles-for-loss, one forced fumble and two fumble recoveries while playing multiple positions for Monroe.
"I played outside linebacker and I was also a nickelback," Ellis told JCFootball.com.
Schools have come by and checked out the talented prospect, but he's still waiting on his first offer.
"Central Connecticut State University came by and other than that a couple of D-2s," Ellis said. "I really am looking to go FCS or FBS if possible."
Ellis has already finished up his two-year degree and is currently just working out and taking the semester off while waiting to hear from schools.
He will have two years to play two starting this fall.
