Two Visits Set For Fuimaono

Things are heating up for L.A. Harbor OL/DT Leo Fuimaono (6-3, 295). The JUCO prospect has scheduled two official visits, one of them this weekend,

"I am visiting Oregon State this weekend and Texas Tech next Wednesday," Fuimaono told Friday afternoon.

After two seasons that saw him contribute on both sides of the ball, several schools were after him, but an administrative error forced him to have to wait to sign with a school.

"I had interest from Arizona State, Arizona, Oklahoma State, BYU, Utah, Illinois, South Florida, UTEP and Colorado State,"

"I was supposed to leave mid-year, but one of my grades got entered too late for me to transfer. I have now received my AA degree with a 3.2."

As a prep at Torrance (Ca.) High School, Fuimaono was unable to qualify, so he decided to go the JUCO route and he chose the Seahawks because he saw an opportunity to get to the next level.

"I just felt like Harbor had been sending guys out to top schools for the past couple years and that I was capable of receiving a scholarship and transferring to a big time school and Harbor was the way to go," Fuimaono noted.

As noted earlier, Fuimaono can sign with a school right away and he will have three years to play two starting this fall.
