"Buffalo just offered me and I had offers from Arkansas State and Southern Mississippi already," Ruff told JCFootball.com. "Besides those schools, I haven't really been talking to anyone else."
While playing outside linebacker for Coffeyville as a freshman last season, Ruff managed to post 71 tackles, good for third on the team, with five sacks, 10.5 tackles-for-loss, two forced fumbles and fumble recovery.
As a prep at Crisp County High School in Cordele, Georgia, Ruff was unable to qualify for a scholarship, so his coach got him in touch with the Red Ravens' staff.
"I love Coffeyville football," Ruff noted. "School is good too. It's nothing but football and school and that's helped me a lot."
Ruff is on pace to finish up his two-year degree this December and he will have three years to play two following the 2015 football season.
