After finishing up his prep career at Madison (San Antonio, Tx.), Warford decided to sign with Memphis, but after a year with the Tigers, he decided to leave and get a fresh start.
"Memphis just wasn't the right fit for me," Warford told JCFootball.com. "When I started looking around, I felt like Cisco was a place where I could do some growing up and be closer to home."
Warford redshirted at Cisco this past fall, so he's been hard at work getting himself ready for what will be a very important redshirt sophomore season.
"I've been working on my change of directions and routes," Warford noted. "They are going to use me all over -- slot, running back, kick/punt returner -- so I will have the ball in my hands a lot."
As far as offers and interest, Warford has not been hearing from anyone to this point, but that should change once schools realize he's at Cisco.
Warford is on pace to finish up his two-year degree in December and he will have two years to play two following the 2015 football season.
