"The visit went very well" DellaRipa told JCFootball.com shortly after returning home. "I loved the school. They do a lot for their students and give them a lot of opportunities, like big internships, that helps them prepare for the real world in whatever job you are pursuing.
"The coaches all seem like great guys. Coach (Derek) Mason was very involved with the visit compared to other visits where I only saw the head coach once and (Mason) really made me feel welcome and wanted there.
"They have a real family aspect at Vandy that I love as well and I feel like I'd fit in just fine."
With that trip out of the way, DellaRipa said he's got some thinking to do as he remains committed to Fresno State.
"Nothing has changed with (FSU) yet," DellaRipa noted. "I just got in last night so now I'm trying to compare everything between the two schools."
So when can we expect a final decision?
"I'm trying real hard to make a decision as soon as I can," DellaRipa admitted. "The coaches are not being pushy and understand its not an easy choice, but at the same time, I know they aren't going to wait forever."
DellaRipa, a full-qualifier out of high school, started for COC this past season as a freshman. He hopes to make his choice soon and he will have four years to play three starting this fall.
