Ollie Grabs Third Offer

East Mississippi DL Ronald Ollie (6-3, 315) has three offers with his latest coming from Louisiana-Lafayette

Ollie informed JCFootball.com that he has received an offer from Louisiana-Lafayette.

The offer is the third for the big defensive line prospect, joining the two that he already had from Memphis and Southern Mississippi.

"Troy wants me to visit this summer and Utah State is after me too," Ollie said late last month. "Alabama is talking to me a lot right now too.

"I'm going to visit Alabama on May 31st and I'm looking at visiting the other schools that are interested in me, but those will probably be after I finish up school for the quarter."

As a freshman last season, while working into the Lions' interior defensive line rotation, Ollie racked up 20 tackles, 1.5 sacks, 2.5 tackles-for-loss and two fumble recoveries.

"I stop the run, but I can pass-rush if I have to or if I get a one-on-one but I'm usually double teamed during the pass-rush," Ollie said in April.

Ollie enjoyed a solid prep career at Wayne County High School in Waynesboro, Mississippi, but he didn't take the ACT or SAT, so he needed to find a place to play this past fall and East Mississippi was the right place for him.

"I don't like losing, so that's why I chose (East Mississippi)," Ollie said.

The talented defensive lineman is on pace to finish up his two-year degree in December and he will have three years to play two following the 2015 football season.
