Ventura OL Prospect Is A 'Rising' Star

Ventura OL Tyson Rising (6-5, 285) hauled in his third offer recently and more could be on the way in the near future...

"I just got an offer from Washington State," Rising told JCFootball.com late on Tuesday night. "I also have offers from Colorado and Utah State and I am hearing from Arizona State, San Diego State, New Mexico, San Jose State and Fresno State."

As a freshman last fall, Rising handled right tackle duties, but this fall, he'll head over to the left side to protect the Ventura signal-callers.

"I have quick feet, so I'd say pass-blocking is what I am best at," Rising said. "This offseason I have been working on getting bigger and stronger, using better technique and being able to spy blitzes."

After a solid prep career at Buena High School in Ventura, Rising began to look around for a JUCO to play at and possibly earn some offers from four year programs.

He was a full-qualifier out of high school, so he can leave at any time, but he plans to play for VC this fall and then sign with a school in December and he will have three years to play two following the 2015 football season.
