Fogal Hauls In '15 Offer, Sets Official Visit
"I just got an offer from UTEP," Fogal told JCFootball.com. "I will take my official visit there on June 8th."
The offer from the Miners joins the offer Fogal already had from Utah, which had offered for the 2016 class.
"I will take an unofficial visit (to see Utah) on June 4th," Fogal added.
Fogal suffered an injury shortly before this past season, forcing him to redshirt. Because he didn't play, most four-year programs decided to move on, but he is currently on pace to finish up his academics this quarter and he can leave if the right opportunity presents itself.
"I tore my ACL two days before the start of the season," Fogal lamented to JCFootball.com back in March. "I didn't play at all. I had to redshirt and get back healthy and that's where things stand now."
As a freshman in 2013, Fogal posted 32 tackles, three interceptions and four pass breakups while started 10 of the Bulldogs' 11 games.
"I played almost exclusively at safety, most free, as a freshman," Fogal noted.
Fogal got his surgery early in the fall and began an aggressive rehab regimen that has led him back to full health and he hopes to find an opportunity with a four-year program to play there this fall.
Fogal is not only a solid prospect on the football field, but he's also a very good student.
He was a full-qualifier after graduating from Arroyo (San Lorenzo, Ca.) High School and he's ready to leave after the spring quarter has been completed.
If he finds a place to play this fall, he would have three years to play three wherever he winds up. However, he is open to returning to CSM to play for the Bulldogs this fall and if that were to happen, he would have two years to play two following the 2015 football season.
