Players of the Week

Northern Division

Offense – Larry Aldridge, Runningback, Rainy River

Aldridge rushed 21 times for 185 yards and two touchdowns to lead Rainy River to their first ever MCCC win in football.  He is a freshman from Brinkley High School, AR.

Defense – Rich Faber, Safety, Vermilion

Faber recorded a remarkable five interceptions in a windy and rainy game played at Central Lakes.  He also contributed three tackles.  Faber is a sophomore from Mukwonago, WI.

Southern Division

Offense – Jason Prochaska, Runningback, Ridgewater

Prochaska 25 times for 191 yards and three touchdowns as Ridgewater defeated Itasca 37-15.  He leads the MCCC with 310 yards rushing through two games.  Prochaska is a freshman from Glencoe-Silver Lake High School.

Defense – Tony DeWeese, Free Safety, Rochester

DeWeese made five solo tackles, two assisted tackles, and three interceptions to lead Rochester to a 57-9 win over Hibbing.  DeWeese is a sophomore from Pike High School in Indianapolis, IN.
