NotesThe 6-foot-2, 210 pound safety is a physical imposing player with decent speed. White is more of a big hitter that belongs closer to the line of scrimmage. He's a physical player that is more valuable in run support. Coverage isn't an overwhelming weakness, but it's not at the top of what he does well. He can collapse well on underneath routes. White is a read and react player. His high football IQ allows him to quickly respond to what he sees.
"Penn State just offered me," White told JCFootball.com recently. "I'm still committed to West Virginia, but I have a lot of schools talking to me right now."
In addition to his latest offer from the Nittany Lions and the offer he held from West Virginia, White also has full rides from the likes of Arizona State, Louisville, Pittsburgh and Syracuse.
"The one school that has been talking to me a lot is %%MATCH_8%% and I think they might be close to offering, but we'll have to see," White said.
As far as official visits go, White hasn't scheduled any, but he knows three schools that he is planning to visit.
"I am definitely going to visit Penn State," White said. "Also I will visit West Virginia and %%MATCH_7%% State as well."
As a freshman for Lackawanna last season, White posted 34 tackles, 1.5 tackles-for-loss, one interception and two pass breakups from his safety spot.
White is on pace to finish up his two-year degree this coming December and he will have three years to play two following the 2015 football season.
