"I've been working on everything," King told JCFootball.com recently. "My coaches told me before I left for summer break -- my feet, my hand placement, my strength and my speed.

"I am also working hard on my relationship with God. Keeping focused on the important things in my life."

On the recruiting front, King has four offers and more schools have been eyeing his talents.

"My offers right now are from Fairmont State, Notre Dame College (OH), Oklahoma Panhandle State and Arkansas- Monticello," King said. "I've been talking a lot with Utah State, SMU, North Texas, BYU and Colorado State."

King recently visited SMU and he came away impressed with what the Mustang program has to offer.

"I loved everything about it," King said. "The campus, the coaches, the environment and the location. It was a great visit.

"The coach there told me to keep him updated as my season went along and that they are in the process of evaluating my film."

King sat out the 2014 football season while dealing with some family issues, so how he plays this fall will go a long way in helping him find a home for the 2016 season.

After finishing up his prep career at Grand Prairie (Tx.) High School, King signed with Tarleton State, but after redshirting there in 2013 he decided to leave.

"They said I was too small to play for their defense, so I had to leave just to get a real chance to play," King noted. "Snow was the only school that offered me a scholarship and I wanted to get away from Texas and try a new environment to help me start over."

King is on pace to finish up his two-year degree in December and he will have two years to play two following the 2015 football season.
