Weekly JUCO Top Performers - Quarterbacks

Here's a look at some of the top JUCO quarterback performances from last week including Coffeyville's Riley Ferguson (pictured) who helped lead the the Red Ravens to a 49-48 win over Ellsworth last weekend...

Mississippi
Garrett Kruzcek (Copia Lincoln) (6-2, 185)* - The freshman didn’t play like one against top-ranked East Mississippi on Thursday, completed 32 of his 49 attempts for 390 yards with three touchdowns and just one interception while helping lead the Wolfpack to a thrilling 31-24 win in overtime.
Texas
Richard Lagow (Cisco) (6-6, 240) - The redshirt sophomore had a monster game, going 30 of 44 for 406 yards and three touchdowns while also rushing for 30 yards and another score in Cisco’s 37-29 season opening win over Arkansas Baptist.
Bivins Caraway (Navarro) (6-0, 205) - Caraway had a remarkable day, going 34 of 60 for 373 yards with five touchdowns and a pick, but it wasn't enough as Navarro dropped their game with Trinity Valley by a score of 72-50. Caraway also rushed for 63 yards and another score in the losing effort.
Jerod Evans (Trinity Valley) (6-4, 225) - Evans was nearly perfect in leading TVC to a 72-50 win over Navarro last wekend, completing 20 of his 30 passes for 380 yards and four touchdowns in the win. Evans also displayed his outstanding athleticism in rushing for 80 yards on 10 carries as well.
Kansas
Jayru Campbell (Garden City) (6-5, 200)* - Campbell, a freshman, completed 22 of his 44 attempts for 390 yards with four touchdowns and three interceptions in the Broncbusters’ 40-35 loss to Dodge City.
Riley Ferguson (Coffeyville) (6-4, 190) - The Tennessee bounceback went 29 of 44 for 353 yards with five touchdowns and an interception in the Red Ravens' 49-48 win over Ellsworth. Ferguson also showed quick feet while rushing for 28 yards on seven carries as well.
Iowa
Jujuan Young-Battle (Ellsworth) (6-0, 171) - Young-Battle did everything he could to get the Panthers a win, completing 17 of his 32 attempts for 336 yards with four touchdowns and an interception while running for 31 yards and another score, but it wasn't enough as Ellsworth dropped a heart-breaker to Coffeyville by a score of 49-48.
Minnesota
Nick Rooney (Rochester) (6-2, 195) - Rooney completed 15 of his 24 pass attempts for 357 yards with three touchdowns and a pick in Rochester’s 51-6 win over Minnesota West.

Ryan Pollard (Shasta) (5-11, 185) - Pollard went 23 of 29 for 397 yards and four touchdowns in Shasta’s 56-6 win over Gavilan.
Anthony Gordon (CCSF) (6-3, 180)*- The freshman completed 28 of his 50 pass attempts for 306 yards with three touchdowns and an pick in the Rams 25-24 win over Sierra.
Keon Marsh (Monterey Peninsula) (6-2, 168) - Marsh went 26 of 38 for 347 yards with five touchdowns and a pick in the Lobos’ 49-28 win over Redwoods.
Sincere-Randy Jones (Merced) (6-6, 202)*- Jones completed 20 of his 28 attempts for 348 yards and two touchdown passes while also rushing for 40 yards in Merced’s 44-14 win over Los Medanos.
Jose Ferreira (Chabot) (6-0, 205) - Ferreira was nearly perfect in the Gladiators’ 30-9 win over Butte, going 19 of 20 for 151 yards while also rushing for a game-high 108 yards and two scores on 15 carries.
 
Southern California
Devon Dunn (College of the Canyons) (5-11, 180) - Dunn was outstanding in College of the Canyons’ 30-6 win over Mt. San Antonio, going 17 of 35 for 364 yards with three touchdowns and an interception. Dunn also rushed for 20 yards in the win.
Grant Kraemer (Glendale) (6-3, 200) - Kraemer had a monstrous game in Glendale’s 35-31 win over East Los Angeles, going 27 of 45 for 488 yards with four touchdowns and a pick.
Ray Guyton (San Diego Mesa) (5-11, 200)*- Guyton showed off his dual-threat capabilities, going 14 of 22 for 122 yards while also rushing for 156 yards and two scores in Mesa’s 33-27 win over L.A. Valley.
