College of San Mateo defensive coordinator Tim Tulloch informed JCFootball.comt that CB Ahmari Hayes has received an offer from Illinois.
The offer is the first for the talented defensive back.
He is also hearing from quite a few Power Five programs.
While playing in six games as a freshman last fall, Hayes totaled 16 tackles and two interceptions.
So far this season, Hayes has locked his side down, posting 13 tackles and a pass breakup while rarely being challenged by opposing offenses.
Hayes is on pace to graduate in December and he will have three years to play two following the 2015 football season.
