"SMU offered," Desmond Branch told JCFootball.com Friday morning.
The offer from the Mustangs joins the two he already had from UAB and UTEP.
In addition to those three schools, Branch has a number of other programs eyeing his talents and he will take visits two of those schools in the next few weeks.
"I've set up a visit with Mississippi State on December 11th and I have a tentative trip set for Georgia Tech on December 4th," Branch said.
Branch, a sophomore this season, led the Cardinal with seven sacks while posting 32 tackles and 11 tackles-for-loss from his defensive end spot.
As a prep in New Mexico, the younger Branch signed with his local school, but after redshirting there in 2014, he felt it was time to make the move to explore other opportunities.
"I just didn't feel like I could stay there," Branch said back in September. "I felt like I got overlooked in the recruiting process because of where I was from and I just felt like, if I went to a program like Trinity Valley here, I could get more schools to look at me.
"The program here is great. They have great coaching and a strong, winning program and I liked the opportunity to play here."
Branch is on pace to finish up his academic work in December and he will have three years to play three starting in 2016.
