2016 Diablo Valley DL Chris Mulumba talks recruiting and official visits

Now that his sophomore season is over, 2016 Diablo Valley DL Chris Mulumba (6-4, 280) has turned his attention toward recruiting and finding a place to play next fall. JCFootball.com caught up with the versatile defensive line prospect and he updated us on where things stand...

"I have official offers from Iowa State, Fresno State and New Mexico," Chris Mulumba told JCFootball.com recently. "I have also been getting a lot of interest from Washington State, Southern Miss, Kansas State, San Jose State, Middle Tennessee, UTSA and Ohio."

Now that Mulumba's season is complete, he has started to schedule official visits.

"Right now I've got a visit scheduled to Iowa State the first weekend of December," Mulumba said. "I'm looking at setting up other visits too, but right now, that's the only one I have set."

As a sophomore this season, while playing almost every spot along the DVC defensive line, Mulumba led his team with 63 tackles while also posting nine tackles and 1.5 tackles-for-loss.

"I played more defensive end than anything, but I also played some three-technique and I feel like I could play anywhere my coaches need me to play," Mulumba noted.

Mulumba is on pace to finish up his two-year degree in December and he will have three years to play two starting in 2016.
