"I committed to UAB last night," an excited Andrew Marshall told JCFootball.com. "The coaches there are great and I just felt like it was the right place for me."
Marshall chose the Blazers over offers from Akron, East Carolina, North Carolina A&T and San Diego State.
Marshall started at right tackle for Globe the past two seasons, but he told JCFootball.com that he can play on either side of the line.
"I played right tackle, but I can play both, it's not that difficult," Marshall noted. "I'm good at run-blocking and pass-protection, but I'd probably say I feel more comfortable in pass-pro just because of my feet and my size."
While his overall game is solid, Marshall knows there are still areas that he needs to improve upon.
"I want to be more explosive and get in better shape," Marshall said. "Once I do that, my game will be complete."
Marshall is on pace to finish up his two-year degree this month and he will have three years to play two starting in 2016.
