College of the Desert QB Stephen Johnson added his seventh offer recently and things are coming into focus for the talented JUCO signal-call

2016 College of the Desert QB Stephen Johnson (6-3, 200) has parlayed a spectacular 2015 season into several FCS and FBS offers. Here's a look at the recruiting landscape for the talented signal-caller and what lies ahead in the coming weeks...

Johnson recently received his first Power 5 offer when Kentucky threw their hat in the ring earlier this week.

In addition to his offer from the Wildcats, Johnson also has offers from Hawaii, Eastern Michigan, Arkansas State, Morgan State, Lamar and Florida A&M.

Johnson has taken official visits to see Morgan State (December 3rd) and Hawaii (December 11th).

JCFootball.com has been able to confirm that Johnson will visit either Kentucky or Arkansas State on January 15th and he will likely make his decision shortly after returning home from that visit.

Johnson led the Road Runners to a 6-4 season by completing 58.3% of his passes for close to 3,100 yards with 34 touchdowns and seven interceptions. He also rushed for 428 yards and a team-leading eight touchdowns on the ground.

The sophomore earned SCFA American Division Offensive Player of the Year honors as well.

Johnson is on pace to finish up his two-year degree this winter and he will have two years to play two starting this coming fall.
