"I'm visiting Louisville on the 29th (of January)," Richards told JCFootball.com. "They haven't offered yet, but they are coming up for an in-home visit with me the week before my trip and that's when I should know more."
While the Cardinal have yet to offer, six schools have thrown their hats in the ring and more could be on the way.
"I have offers right now from Akron, Buffalo, Idaho, Oklahoma State, Southern Miss and Troy," Richards said. "I have also been talking a lot with Texas Tech and Illinois too."
As a sophomore this season, Richards helped to lead the Broncos to a 6-5 record and he said that his game changed quite a bit from his freshman season to this past fall.
"I think I had an excellent season," Richards said. "I was coming off my knee injury (meniscus tear in left knee) and I had surgery in July, but I cam back better than ever. I played a lot more physical. I finished blocks and a big key for me was playing lower and my technique improved a lot."
Richards is on pace to wrap up his academic work in the spring and he will have three years to play two starting this coming fall.
