2017 Nassau OT Badara Traore already has three offers and more could be on the way very soon

2017 Nassau OT Badara Traore (6-8, 310) is a rising star in the ranks of JUCO prospects and he updated JCFootball.com on where things stand on the recruiting front...

"I currently have three offers - Arizona State, Iowa State and UAB - and I have several other schools talking to me, but they haven't offered yet," Traore told JCFootball.com. "The main ones that haven't offered yet are South Carolina, Florida, Pitt and Louisville."

While recruiting is picking up for the talented line prospect, Traore said he's still maintaining his focus in the weightroom and in the classroom.

"I would like to take some visits this spring and summer to check out schools, but I don't have any scheduled right now," Traore noted. "I'm really just focused on my academics and getting on the field right now."

As a freshman this past season, Traore started every game at left tackle, manning the key spot along a line that featured three players who signed with FBS programs following the season.

"I feel like I'm great in pass-protection and I have great feet for someone my size," Traore said. "I play with a mean streak and I look to finish off blocks.

"This offseason, I'm working on improving my strength, my technique and my overall knowledge of the game," Traore said. "The coaches here are great and they will improve my game and get me where I need to be."

As a prep, Traore was a standout at Magnino (Cambridge, Ma.) High School, but he was unable to get qualified, so he decided to sign with the Lions in order to get his academics in order and to keep playing ball.

"Like I said, they have great coaches here, but they also have a great record of sending out offensive linemen and that was big for me," Traore added.

Traore is on pace to finish up his two-year degree in May of 2017 and he will have three years to play two following the 2016 football season.
