2017 Saddleback RB Jojo Binda had a solid freshman campaign and hopes some opportunities present themselves in the near future

2017 Saddleback RB Jojo Binda (5-9, 195) had a solid freshman season last fall while helping lead the Gauchos to the state championship game...

As a freshman last season, Binda finished second on the team with 343 yards and three scores on the ground while also hauling in 22 receptions for 82 yards and another touchdown through the air.

"We had a rotation, so I really only started three games, but I made the most of my opportunities," Binda told JCFootball.com. "I was just hungry to make plays and to help my team any way that I can."

Binda has yet to haul in any offers, but he's hoping some schools take a look at what he can do on his freshman video and like what they see.

"So far no schools have been talking to me, but hopefully this spring they will make it out to our school to see our practices and I can show them some stuff then," Binda noted.

As a prep, Binda was a two-year stud at Kamiak High School in Mukilteo, Washington, but he was unable to get qualified, so he decided to head to Saddleback to continue his football career and to get his academics in order.

He is on pace to finish up his two-year degree in December and he will have three years to play two following the 2015 football season.
