2017 Arizona Western CB Keisean Nixon has a handful of offers to his name already and more could be on the way soon

He's already got a handful of offers and more could be on the way for 2017 Arizona Western CB Keisean Nixon (6-0, 200)...

"I have offers right now from Cal, Colorado State, Iowa State, Kansas State and San Diego State and Ball State just offered too," Nixon told JCFootball.com. "In addition to the schools that have offered me, I have also been talking a lot with Nebraska, Tennessee, Georgia, Mississippi State, West Virginia, Washington, Utah, UCF and Florida."

This coming weekend, Nixon will visit one of his top suitors.

"I'm heading up this weekend to watch Cal's Spring Game," Nixon added. "I'm also looking at visits to Memphis, Oregon and Houston, but those aren't set up yet."

As a freshman last season, Nixon totaled 36 tackles and a team-leading five interceptions while also handling kick and punt return duties.

"I'm a lockdown corner who likes to play man-to-man and I feel like excel at special teams," Nixon said. "I have long arms and run a 4.4 and I have really good field vision which helps me."

This offseason, Nixon has been hard at work perfecting his craft, working on several aspects that will help him when he steps on the field this fall.

"I have really been working on my core and getting more explosive to dominate this season and show all the school why they should recruit me," Nixon said.

As a prep at Los Angeles' Salesian High School, Nixon was a sought-after recruit, but because he couldn't qualify, he decided to head to Arizona Western to get his academics in order while also continue his football career.

"Arizona Western is the best junior college in the country in my opinion and they fit exactly what I wanted in a junior college," Nixon recalled.

The talented defensive back is on pace to finish up his two-year degree in December and he will have three years to play two following the 2016 football season.
