2016 Cerritos LB Keith Walker will visit East Carolina this weekend

2016 Cerritos LB Keith Walker (6-1, 220) is a player still looking for a place to play this fall and he'll visit East Carolina this weekend...

"I'm excited," Walker told JCFootball.com. "They've been talking to me for a little while and they said they are really interested in me, actually they said I was the number one linebacker on their board, and they have lost some linebackers, so they could have a spot for me."

ECU hasn't offered to this point, but that could change this weekend.

"They said they just want to get me out there and meet with me and that they will have a place for me," Walker said.

As a sophomore this past season, Walker played both outside and inside linebacker for the Falcons and wound up leading the team with 92 tackles to go along with 10 tackles-for-loss, four sacks, one interception and three pass breakups.

"Up until this past season, I had only played inside," Walker said. "I'm probably at my best stopping the run, but I can drop into coverage pretty well and I've gotten a lot better at that since I finally did it."

Walker is on pace to finish up his two year degree in May and he will have three years to play two starting this fall.
