"San Diego State offered me last night," Macon told JCFootball.com. "The defensive coordinator (head coach Rocky Long) called me on the phone and offered.
"He said that my highlights speak for themselves. He said he liked the fact that I am a big kid that can move. He also said I was a playmaker and that they couldn't afford to pass up on the opportunity to get me."
Besides the offer from the Aztecs, Macon has also been hearing from several other schools.
"Louisville, Utah, Utah State, UCF and Memphis have all been talking to me as well," Macon noted. "I'm working on some plans to visit some of the schools, but I haven't really set up any at this time."
As a freshman last season, Macon finished second on the team with 82 tackles and 12.5 tackles for loss while also posting four sacks.
Macon is set to finish up his academic work in December and he will have three years to play two following the 2016 football season.
