ECU Reels In A Good One

It came as a bit of a surprise, but 2017 Georgia Military CB Marcus Holton (6-1, 180) decided over the weekend to commit to East Carolina and he told he couldn't be happier...

Holton announced his decision over the weekend on his Twitter account.

"I committed (to East Carolina)," a happy Holton told "I also had offers from Marshall and Western Kentucky and Georgia Southern was talking to me a lot.

"When I went on the visit I just felt like I was back at home at it was just a great fit for me.

"The (ECU) coaches were surprised and super-excited."

As a freshman last season, Holton started all but two games for GMC, posting a team-high eight pass breakups while racking up 18 tackles and two interceptions.

He is on pace to finish up his two-year degree in December and he will have three years to play two following the 2016 football season.
