Week 1 Top Performers - Defensive Backs

Here's a look at some of the top JUCO defensive back performances from last weekend...


Last Week: In Mesa's 42-41 loss to Phoenix, Brantley had a game-high 12 tackles to go along with one tackle-for-loss, one interception and three pass breakups.


Last Week: The freshman had a big game in Navarro's 46-41 loss to Trinity Valley, posting 14 tackles, one tackle-for-loss and a pass breakup.


Last Week: Arius had 10 tackles, one sack and one tackle-for-loss, but it wasn't enough as the Panthers fell to Coffeville 55-24.


Last Week: Manlove had four tackles and two interceptions in Glendale's 42-31 win over Scottsdale.


Last Week: Gray finished with eight tackles and four pass breakups in the Beavers' 23-20 win over Diablo Valley.


Last Week: In his team's 25-16 loss to DeAnza, Barnes still managed to put up solid numbers -- a game-high 14 tackles to go along with one tackle-for-loss.


Last Week: The freshman led the way with 11 tackles, one sack and three tackles-for-loss in Siskiyous' 21-7 win over Chabot.


Last Week: The Wolverines got blasted by Fresno City 45-19, but Sexton still had a solid day, racking up a game-high 17 tackles to go along with 2.5 tackles-for-loss.


Last Week: In the Bulldogs' 22-19 loss to Bakersfield, Graves finished with a game-high 10 tackles, 2.5 tackles-for-loss, one fumble recovery and one pass breakup.
