"My offers right now are from Bowling Green, UAB, Charlotte, Alabama A&M, North Carolina A&T and North Carolina Central," Parfait told JCFootball.com recently. "I've also been hearing from Iowa State, Kansas, Old Dominion, UTEP and West Virginia, but none of them have offered yet."
As a freshman last season, Parfait totaled 26 tackles, three tackles-for-loss and three pass breakups.
"I'm more of a middle linebacker, but I can play anywhere," Parfait noted. "We play both a 3-4 and a 4-3, depending on the team we're facing and the situation, so we have to be prepared to play multiple spots.
"I'm a pure run stopper and a speed blitzer, but can also bail into coverage easily.
"I'd also say my instincts are good and reading lineman. I can flow through gaps and blocks and my quickness help create negative plays."
As a prep at Montclair (NJ) High School, Parfait enjoyed a nice career there, but he was unable to get qualified so he started to look around for a JC program that fit him.
"Monroe was the first JUCO to contact me out of high school, it was still very close to home and they offered me a full scholarship," Parfait said. "I also saw them as a program on the rise and that I would have a chance to make a name for myself there."
Parfait is on pace to finish up his two-year degree in May of 2018 and he will have three years to play two following the 2017 football season.
