"It's been hectic," Knight told JCFootball.com recently. "I have offers right now from SMUNevada and they want me right now, but I'm thinking I will come back (to Ventura) and then leave after the season.

"I also have gotten offers from MassachusettsOld DominionHouston and Idaho and I've been talking a lot with Arizona StateWashington StateNew MexicoUCF and Troy."

Knight took an official visit to Nevada this past weekend and enjoyed himself and he will take an official visit to SMU on April 14th.

"Nevada came out to watch me during the season and they talked to my coaches and then the offensive line coach went back and really pushed for me after watching my film," Knight noted.

As a freshman last season for the Pirates, Knight handled right tackle duties.

"I started out at right tackle, but then we had some injuries, so I slid down and played right guard," Knight noted. "I really enjoy run-blocking a lot. I feel good as a pass-blocker, but I definitely want to improve in that area and get some quicker feet."

Knight enjoyed a solid prep career Judge Memorial High School in Salt Lake City, Ut., but after he finished up his senior season, he didn't have any offers.

"I was a qualifier out of high school, but I really didn't have any options to sign with anyone, so I decided to go the JUCO route," Knight said. "California was the place I felt like I needed to go because of the competition you face on a daily and weekly basis and I really liked the line coach here (Ryan Clanton). I actually watched him a lot when he was at Oregon and he was a former JUCO guy and I felt like he would be able to help me get to the next level."

Knight will have three years to play two following the completion of the 2017 football season.
