Dickson Adds Another Pac 12 Offer

2018 Diablo Valley OL Jason Dickson (6-7, 310) is up to nine offers with his latest coming from yet another Pac 12 school...

JCFootball.com has confirmed that that Dickson recently received an offer from Arizona.

The Wildcats joined Arizona StateCaliforniaColoradoHawaiiMarshallMarylandTCU and Texas Tech in offering the talented offensive line prospect.

As a freshman last season, Dickson held down the left tackle spot for the Vikings and he said his background in basketball has helped him prepare for the rigors of facing the talented speed rushers in the state.

"I played basketball all my life and that really translates well to football because it really helps with your feet," Dickson told JCFootball.com back in February. "My feet are what really help me do my job and what set me apart, but that isn't everything, so I know I need to work on getting stronger so I can be a better run-blocker. That's definitely something I've been focusing on this offseason."

As a prep, Dickson spent his first three years at Corona (Ca.) Santiago High School, but transferred before his senior year to Vallejo.

"I didn't get qualified out of high school and I just decided to start working," Dickson admitted. "I graduated in 2014 and then worked for almost two full years.

"I missed football and working a regular 9 to 5 schedule is hard, so when I got the opportunity to come here to Diablo Valley, I took it because I had a great relationship with coach (Mike) Darr here. He really made me feel comfortable and that really helped, plus, it's still pretty close to home."

Dickson is set to graduate in December and he will have three years to play two following the 2017 football season.
