"I'm verbally committed to UC-Davis right now, but I haven't signed anything," Crumpton told JCFootball.com. "Utah State just offered and I'm heading out there on the 25th for an official visit to check it all out.
"They said they were in need of an explosive slot player and that happened a couple of weeks ago and we've been talking for a while, so it wasn't a surprise."
As a sophomore last season for the Monarchs, Crumpton rushed for 103 yards and a touchdown while hauling in 41 receptions for 447 yards and seven scores as a receiver.
He's also an accomplished return man, averaging over 43 yards on 16 kick returns with three going for touchdowns and averaging over 34 yards on 13 punt returns for three more scores.
The talented athlete said he plans to make a decision on where he will sign, but wasn't sure of an exact timeline.
Crumpton is set to finish up his two-year degree later this month and he will have three years to play two starting this fall.
