WSC PLAYERS OF THE WEEK

Offense--

RUNNING BACK--JUSTIN TYLER, Glendale

Justin is the first player from Glendale to win the player of the week award. Justin carried 12 times for 129 yards and 1 touchdown of 34 yards. Justin is a 5-9 170 lb. freshman from North Hollywood High School.

QUARTERBACK--NICK KRAMER, Moorpark

Nick Kramer, a freshman, completed 21 of 35 passes for 278 yards and 4 touchdowns of 59, 52, 44 and 4 yards.

QUARTERBACK--STEVE PAYNE, Citrus

Steve Payne completed 23 of 45 passes for 363 yards and 3 TD's with 0 interceptions.

Defense--

DEFENSIVE BACK--CALVIN HOWELL, Ventura

Calvin Howell had a super game for the Pirates. Calvin had 2 unassisted tackles, 2 assists, 1 pass break up and 3 interceptions which tied a school record. Calvin is a 5-11 185 lb. freshman from Bullard High School.

LINEBACKER--JEREMY STEWART, Compton

Jeremy Stewart had an outstanding game for the Tartars. Jeremy had 7 unassisted tackles, 1 assist and 1 tackle for a loss.

WSC FOOTBALL HIGHLITES

TERRELL STANLEY (Canyons) caught 8 passes for 82 yards and 2 TD's.
CHARLES MANIGO (Canyons) had 12 tackles (10 unassisted), 1 pass breakl up and 1 sack in overtime to preserve the victory.
CHRIS GREENWADE (Citrus) caught 7 passes for 148 yards and 1 TD.
RICHARD SOTO (Citrus) had 4 unassisted tackles, 7 assists, 1 tackle for a loss and 1 fumble recovery.
DANIEL ZYNN (Canyons) had 5 tackles (4 unassisted), 1 tackle for a loss, 1 sack and 1 fumble recovery.
DANIEL ULRICH (Citrus) caught 6 passes for 86 yards and 1 TD.
DEVIN HOLLINS (West L.A.) completed 12 of 19 passes for 288 yards.
HOWARD BROOMFIELD (West L.A.) had 6 tackles and 2 interceptions which he returned one for a  40 yard TD.
PAUL SORENSEN (Allan Hancock) caught 7 passes for 87 yards.
EDDIE SCIPIO (Allan Hancock) returned a kickoff 102 yards for a TD.
JONATHON LIGONS (East L.A.) caught 3 passes for 79 yards and 1 TD.
GERRELL CAIN (Canyons) carried 12 times for 89 yards.
RASHAAD GOODRUM (L.A. Valley) had 4 unassisted tackles, 6 assists, 4 hurries and 3 tackles for a loss.
JERELL BATSOM (L.A. Valley) had 8 unassisted tackles and 5 assists.
BRANDON THOMAS (Santa Barbara) carried 10 times for 84 yards.
MIKE CONWAY (Santa Barbara) had 11 tackles, 2 tackles for a loss, 1 sack and 1 pass break up.
JACK SWISHER (Ventura) completed 12 of 23 passes for 159 yards and 3 TD's.
CORTEZ SWANIGAN (Ventura) had 5 unassisted tackles, 7 assists, 1 tackle for a loss, 1 pass break up and 1 hurry.
