JC Grid-Wire Top 25 (9-23-03)

Santa Ana, Calif. – College of the Canyons turned up the scoring wick and hung a 48-24 lacing on L.A. Pierce to retain first place in the weekly J.C. Grid-Wire national junior college rankings.  Coffeyville trounced Hutchinson 51-9 and is just half a step behind the Cougars.  San Francisco continues to rack up huge scores against weaker opponents, thrashing San Jose 70-3 and stays in third place.

The top five teams remained the same with minor jockeying throughout the rest of the standings. Big games this week will make the rankings look like an earthquake hit by this time next week.
