Butte LB Chris Hunsaker

Butte College linebacker Chris Hunsaker, 6-1, 240 pounds, might be one of the best available JC linebackers in the land. He was a team captain who loaded up on sacks last season. Four-year schools in need of a capable outside 'backer should give Hunsaker (#41) a look.

Butte does not record forty times, but Chris believes his in the 4.6 to 4.7 range.

During the season opposing offenses in the NorCal Conference had a tough time getting outside on Chris. "His field presence is strong and he was a team captain this year at Butte. They had him at strong side OLB where I heard he led the team in sacks," said Chris' father. "From Pop Warner through high school he was at MLB. He is very good at reading the play and hits like a truck. He also has a great work ethic and is very coachable per all his other coaches." Hunsaker maintains a GPA in the 3.0 range.

Prior to Butte, Hunsaker played at Middletown HS where he was named Lake County California's most valuable offensive and defensive player as a senior. Additionally, he was the all Redwood Empire most valuable defensive player of small schools.
