Campanale plans on graduating this December and attending his school of choice in the spring of '06 with three years to play two.

"I have great strength and I am a physical player," he says. "I am also an intelligent player."
Campanale only qualified for some colleges out of high school. "I had a 2.0 core GPA, but I had a really good SAT score so some schools would take me and others wouldn't. Also, a lot of schools weren't sure how to look at me since I was a defensive end in high school, but I had linebacker size. So they had never seen me play any linebacker which is my natural position. I could have gone to Northern Arizona, but I decided to go to a JC to have some better options."
Those options may now be coming to him as he has heard from Oregon, Oregon State, LSU, and Utah. "I like those schools, plus UCLA. Those would be my five favorites."
Through two games this fall, he recorded 20 tackles, two forced fumbles, one-and-a-half sacks, and one interception.
Campanale looks to be the next solid Cerritos linebacker following in the footsteps of Justin Burks of Arizona State and Jack Tucker of Ohio State.
Cerritos takes on Riverside this Saturday.
