Matthew Harper is the son of former pro player, Willie Harper. He could play at free safety or corner in college. "Right now I am playing safety and that is where I prefer to play," he says. "But, I can also play corner. Most schools like me at free safety. I am a real smart player. I always know where to be and am in the right position. I am a safety that covers like a corner since I have played both positions."

Harper does not have any offers yet, but has scheduled his first visit, to Colorado, this weekend. "Oregon and UNLV want me to visit, too, so I will probably do that. I am looking at Cal, Colorado, Nebraska, and Oregon - those are the main ones."

The DB says that Oregon and Colorado are showing the most attention.

On the season, he has 45 tackles, three interceptions and one fumble recovery.

Harper would like to major in Business.
