California Bowls and Playoff Pairings

SACRAMENTO, CA . . . The California Community Colleges Commission on Athletics (COA) Football Bowl Game Selection Committee today announced the participants in this year's crop of football bowl games.

Final regular-season record and final poll rankings are in parenthesis.

November 19:

Bulldog Bowl, host College of San Mateo, 12 p.m.

East County Bowl, host Los Medanos College, 1 p.m.

California Community Colleges Commission on Athletics Football Championship
Presented by U.S. Bank at Grizzlies Stadium, Fresno, CA

In Northern California, the San Francisco Hawaiian Punch Bowl will serve as the Northern California championship contest.

In Southern California, the Golden Empire Bowl, National Bowl, Southern California Bowl, and Western State Bowl will serve as first-round playoff games. Regional semifinal (November 26) and championship (December 3) games will be hosted by the higher seed.

The winners of the Northern California and Southern California championship playoff games will advance to the California Community Colleges Commission on Athletics Football Championship presented by U.S. Bank on December 10, 2005, at Grizzlies Stadium in Fresno, California. The championship game is an official event of the inaugural 2005-06 COA Championship Festival. Kick-off is scheduled for 1 p.m.
