Jason Hawkins will graduate in December of '05 and will show up at his college of choice in the spring of '06 with three years to play two.

As a freshman, he had 19 catches for 398 yards and five touchdowns. Hawkins was named first team all-conference.

This year, he has 19 catches for 295 yards and four touchdowns. He is being recruited specifically at tight end. "I can catch and block well. I am great at route-running. I consider myself to be a talented, all-around player."

Hawkins claims written offers from Tulsa, Mississippi and New Mexico. "I should have more coming in the mail," he explains. "Cal and Rutgers have offered me verbally and said they will be sending them soon. I like the schools that have offered me, plus Kansas, Oklahoma, Washington, and Washington State. My favorites are Tulsa, Rutgers, Cal, and Kansas. Tulsa and Mississippi are recruiting me the hardest."

The tight end says the main reason he didn't go straight to college is because he wasn't really noticed in high school, so he didn't get a lot of attention. "I went to a smaller high school so that didn't help me too much in my recruitment. I am getting a lot of attention now and it feels good."

Hakwins has not scheduled any official visits to date.

He would like to major in Business.
