Brockwell Led Team to NJCAA Title Game

Glendale (Ariz.) College quarterback Tim Brockwell (6-2, 240) has put together a strong start to the 2005 season for Glendale, leading them to an undefeated record and a No. 1 national ranking in the NJCAA. They'll be playing for the NJCAA national title on December 3rd.

Through eight games, Brockwell was 129-for-184 for 1,878 yards with 12 touchdown passes to only three interceptions.

Now, Brockwell is hoping that his gaudy numbers will translate into some scholarship offers.

"I'm getting looked at by Western Michigan, South Florida and Weber State the most," said Brockwell. "Oregon State, Wisconsin and Utah also have been talking with me."

Brockwell said that Western Michigan appeared to be the closest to extending him an offer.

"They told me that after the bowl game that they want me to visit," said Brockwell. "I'm sure that more offers will come because I am playing pretty good right now."

Brockwell would have two years to play two, using a redshirt his first year at Glendale.

He said that he is hoping that Arizona or Arizona State start showing interest, being from Flagstaff and have somewhat of a desire to play in-state.

"But I could go anywhere, it doesn't matter to me," said Brockwell, who's lone offer out of high school was from Northern Arizona.

When the semester is done, Brockwell will have his A.A. degree and can transfer at the beginning of winter or spring and be able to participate in Spring Practice wherever he signs.
