Recruiting Update: Eddleman and Lewis

We caught up with two SoCal Combine attendees, Joe Eddleman and Thaddeus Lewis, and found out that they're both moving on to four-year schools. The former is probably the best available, D1 eligible OL in the country. The latter is a versatile athlete.

Here's a short update on two unsigned sophomores at Fullerton College.

First, offensive lineman Joe Eddleman. He was probably the best unsigned OL in the nation, which resulted in many four-year programs contacting him. Eddleman looked great at our SoCal combine at about 6-3 1/2, 310 pounds. Performed well in every testing category and in drills, but there was a question as to his graduation date -- this May or next December.

Well, according to Eddleman, he graduated and recently took trips to UNLV, Boise St., Oregon, and Florida State. The latter tripped him last Monday - Wednesday.

All schools offered and there's a leader.

"Florida State is supposed to call me on Saturday. I'll commit if the offer stands," said Eddleman.

One might think that FSU has tremendous depth on the OL, but Eddleman says they have five senior coming back this year. This means there would be ample opportunity for him to break into the depth during his senior season. Eddleman has no redshirt year left so it's important that he makes a quick impact.

Coaches at FSU liked Joe's speed and think he's the best available OL.

Eddleman let us know that one of his teammates, DB/WR Thaddeus Lewis, signed with Cincinnati. Lewis was a standout at the SoCal combine both this year and last. He could be a nice surprise for the Bearcats.
