T.J. Taylor Roams DVC Backfield

Diablo Valley (Calif.) College cornerback T.J. Taylor (5-11, 188), bounced around a lot during his high school years, moving around the country with his family numerous times. With some stability in his schooling now, Taylor will return to Diablo Valley this fall intent on making one final move for football.

"I'm getting a lot of stuff from Oregon, Oregon State, Utah, Washington and Boise State," said Taylor.  "In high school, I had an offer from Hawaii, and also heard a lot from Cincinnati and Temple."

Despite the offer from the Warriors, a low SAT and ACT score sent Taylor from Sammamish (Wash.) Skyline down the coast to Diablo Valley.

With two starters gone, Taylor will now man one of the cornerback positions.

"The backups are back, so we'll be starting this year," Taylor said.

Taylor plans to play the 2006 season, then sign in December and be on his way to a 4-year school come spring football.  He will have three years to play two seasons.

"I'm open to leaving.  I've been all around the country, so I'm not going to have a hard time moving," Taylor said.

He has heard from schools in North Carolina and Ohio as well as the west schools that have been present.

Taylor plans to be at the JCFootball.com Combine next month.
