Not Many JC Tackles as Big as Ivan

College of Siskiyous (Calif.) offensive lineman Ivan Hernandez goes by the name "The Big I Man".  Very appropriate. Hernandez stands 6-7, 280, and the massive left tackle said three schools have been showing a lot of interest in him, while the rest of the Pac-10 has been keeping tabs.

"Oregon State saw me at the combine and liked me.  San Jose State and Arkansas State also watched me at the combine," said Hernandez.  "I'm hearing from a bunch of schools around the nation, but I want to stay in the Pac-10."

Hernandez prepped at South Salem (Ore.) High and graduated in 2005.  Academics prevented him from signing but now he's gotten his focus on school back and he intends to graduate this fall and be ready to go in January.

"I really want to go to a program that is a winning program. I want to go to a school that always goes to a bowl game," said Hernandez.

Hernandez started every game for COS at left tackle, and with his size, he fully intends to play left tackle at the D-I level.

When he decides, remains to be seen.

"If it's a really good offer, like from a good Pac-10 school, I'd go with it.  If its from some other schools, I'll probably wait to see what else is available," Hernandez said.

Washington State and California are two other schools that Hernandez is looking at, aside from Oregon State and fellow homestate school Oregon.
