JC Grid-Wire Pre-Season Top 30

The guy in the dark glasses and the funny mustache, that's the editor of the J.C. Grid-Wire, who thinks of himself as a bit of a swami.  He could be a brick short or on a one-way trip to the funny farm, but here he goes again trying to pick the top 30 community college teams before the first kick-off of the season.

The editor, or swami, usually likes the schools with tried and true quarterbacks on hand, but  this year you go down to his seventh pick, Trinity Valley, Tex. where veteran Ben McMahan is holding down the duties.  Wiley George Rush at San Francisco will certainly uncover an adequate signal-caller and his 54-4 record over the past five years would seem to be a reasonable reason for putting the Rams in first place.

Tim Hatten at Pearl River no doubt will disagree and ‘tis said he is rebuilding a powerhouse in Poplarville, Miss., but he must replace two-year star Jimmy Oliver at, you guessed it, quarterback.
