CCSF received 11 first place votes from coaches and tallied 506 points. El Camino tallied eight first place votes and 501 points after defeating previously seventh-ranked Chaffey, 25-20.
Idle Reedley remained No.3, but dropped off the leaders' pace.
San Mateo is now fourth, ahead of Saddleback and Sequoias. After losing its opener to No. 7 Mt. SAC, defending state champion defeated Canyons, 25-3, and moved up from No. 15 to 12th.

The Mission features: No. 10 Riverside at No. 2 El Camino; No. 22 Long Beach at No. 5 Saddleback, No. 15 Palomar at No. 21 Orange Coast, and No. 20 Santa Ana at No. 17 Fullerton. In the Foothill it's Grossmont at undefeated Mt. San Jacinto, plus Victor Valley matching 2-0 records at San Bernardino Valley. In the Western State, No. 13 Moorpark opens at LA Valley and No. 19 Glendale at Compton.
Top non-conference games: No. 1 San Francisco at No. 11 Fresno and No. 6 Sequoias at No. 9 Foothill.
