Here's our weekly collection of top performers from around the nation. The photo is of Snow College QB Cade Cooper. He completed 28 of 39 for 339 yards and 4 TDs. Also, Foothill College WR/PR Schneider Julian had over 200 yards of total offense vs. San Mateo.

QUARTERBACKS

PALOMAR Tyler Lorenzen, 6-5, 223, transfer From Iowa St. accounted for 483 yards total offense in 52-20 win over Riverside. He went 29 of 39 for 394 and 3 scores (6-27-7) and added 89 yards rushing on 12 carries.

SNOW Cade Cooper, 6-3, 210, completed 28 of 39 for 339 yards and 4 TDs.

SAN BERNARDINO Frosh Brad Sorensen, 6-4, 210, was 25 of 38 for 302 and 3 TDs & 12 carries for 40 yards.

BLINN Freshman Brad Guidry, 6-6, 230, connected on 17 of 27 for 263 yards and TDs of 33-7-22-33.

TRINITY VALLEY Ben McMahon, 6-1, 185, completed 16 of 27 for 260 and 2 TDs.

ITAWAMBA Tyson Lee went 25 of 33 for 247 and 5 TDs in 38-21 win over Holmes.

FULLERTON Luke Tracy, 6-2, 205, completed 13 of 15 for 231, 2 TDs and ran 21 times for 98 yards and 2 more scores in 37-34 win over PCC.

GROSSMONT Frosh John Soli, 6-1, 189, completed 19 of 22 passes (.864 pct) for 189 yards.

RUNNING BACKS

GULF COAST Larry Warner carried 26 times for 266 yards and a TD in 31-10 win over NW Miss.

COFFEYVILLE Frosh Nate Guillory, 5-9, 175, had his 3rd 200-yard game, going 207 yards on 17 lugs, scoring on runs of 62 and 80 yards in 34-13 win over Independence.

TRINITY VALLEY Eric Ransom, 5-10, 185, rushed for 199 yards on 20 efforts in 23-21 loss to Kilgore.

SADDLEBACK Speedy freshman Andrew Nakihei, 5-9, 185, from Maui, HI, had 8 carries for 170 yards and TDs of 1, 3, 48 and 83 yards.  That's a 21.2 yards per carry avg.

RIVERSIDE Richard Murrell, 6-0, 240, gained 161 in 17 carries and 2 scores.

FORT SCOTT 5-4, 165, scampered for 130 yards on 32 carries against a very tough Butler defense.

SANTA ANA Brian Allen, 5-8, 180, 17 carries for 74 yards and 1 TD rushing and 4 catches for 90 yards.

GLENDALE (Ca.) Freshman Brandon Torres, 6-2, 210, 15 lugs for 126 yards and 2 TDs in 28-3 win over LA Pierce.

SAN BERNARDINO Erin Madden, 5-10, 185, 10 lugs for 113 yards and a TD and 3 catches for 90 and another score of 82 yards.

RECEIVERS

BLINN  Carl Johnson, 6-1, 220, caught 9 passes for 113 yards and a pair of scores.

LONG BEACH WR Latroy Dinkins, 6-1, 195, caught 6 for 108 yards, almost all in the 2nd half of loss to MT. SAC.

MT. SAN JACINTO  Darrell Thornton, 6-0, 185, 7 catches for 179 yards & 2 scores in win over San Bernardino.

DEFENSE

SADDLEBACK Freshman CB Chauncy Dariso, 5-10, 165, had 10 tackles, 9 solo and an INT plus a pass broken up.

BUTLER Frosh DB Maurice Gray, 5-10, 175, 7 solo, 6 assists.

GROSSMONT Freshman FS Abraham Muheize, 6-0, 186, 6 tackles, 3 pass break ups and 3 blocked punts.

VERMILION DL David Gonsor, 6-0, 260, 3 sacks, was in on 4 tackles & defended a pass in win over Rainy River.

KILGORE FS Errick Ejike, 6-1, 200,  set up go-ahead TD with an INT then knocked away potential game-tying 2-point PAT pass in the Rangers' 23-21 win over Trinity Valley.

NAVARRO Rondal Wilson, 6-1, 220, returned a blocked punt 9 yards for a TD and had 14 tackles as a linebacker in upset of Cisco and S Erik Robinson, 5-11, 190, had 11 tackles, broke up a pass & returned a fumble for a 50-yard TD.

PEARL RIVER Frosh LB Donte Spires, 6-2, 220, 18 tackles, 1 for a loss and a forced fumble in win over Jones.

CHAFFEY DE Luke Plante, 6-3, 235, had 13 tackles, 5.5 sacks, 8 TFL, 8 QB hurries and broke up a pass.

SANTA ROSA Freshman LB Ulla Pomele, 6-1, 230, 7 solos, recovered 2 fumbles and made 4th down stop on the one to win it, and frosh DL Koa Misi, 6-3, 270, 7 solo, 2 QB sacks, DL Steve Stutsman, 6-3, 245, 5 solo and 2.5 QB sacks.

SCOTTSDALE LB Tony Fein, 6-3, 240, who is said to have committed to Michigan State, 21 tackles, 16 solo, 2 for loss, 1 caused fumble.

NASSAU DE Jason Magee, 6-3, 245, 4 tackles, 3 sacks, an INT and returned a fumble 49 yards for a TD and DB Jovany Lazo, 5-10, 185, 6 tackles, forced 2 fumbles and an INT to help hold Georgia Military to 93 total yards, 56 of those on the ground.

MOORPARK  LB Richard Martinez, 5-8, 225, 13 tackles, 8 solo and a sack vs. West LA and frosh DE Josh Douglas, 6-3, 235, 9 tackles, 3 sacks, 3 TFLs and 3 hurries.

MT. SAN ANTONIO DT Bernard Afutiti, 6-0, 255, 5 tackles, 2 for losses of 11 yards, forced a fumble and had a sack.

CITRUS  DB Caleb Flores, 6-1, 210, had 4 tackles, a PBU and 2 INTs in loss to Canyons.

HANCOCK  Fr. LB William Roundtree, 5-10, 195, 13 tackles, 10 solo and a pair of sacks 35-17 over SMCC.

OTHERS

MT. SAN ANTONIO Jeremy Genner kicked 4 FGs, including a  43-yarder with 1:05 left in the game 26-24 over Long Beach.

LONG BEACH  CB Ryan "Franchise" Howard, 5-9, 180, 8 tackles, 6 solo, 2 PBUs and 2 PRs for 70 + 3 KORs for 70.

MT. SAN JACINTO Alex Olefke nailed 4 punts for a 46.5 avg. with a long of 60.

KILGORE Jonathan Whitehurst had 5 punts for a 45.8 avg. including a 67-yards downed on the one-yard line.

NEW MEXICO MILITARY  Tim Hamett blocked a Phoenix PAT to tie game and returned it 85 yards for 2-pt scored.  36-yard PR avg.

CATCHING UP

REEDLEY In the 49-0 victory over Merced, WR/RB/RET Jose Garcia, accounted for 248 yards.  He rushed for 71, caught 3 passes for 58 and returned punts for 91 and kickoffs for 20.  He scored twice.

JONES DE Marvin Wash 6-3, 230, had 8 tackles, 3 QB sacks in 21-0 blanking of Southwest. 11 sacks in 6 games.

EAST MISS.  Freshman Lagarrett Blount, 6-2, 235, rushed 40 times for 273 yards and 3 scores in 25-8 win over Northeast Miss.  He has totaled 932 yards on 137 carries in 6 games with 10 TDs to lead Miss. rushers.

HINDS Frosh LB Carlos Meeks, 6-1, 226, Carlos Meeks, is among Miss defensive leaders with 42 tackles in 6 games.

VICTOR VALLEY Freshman Isaac Newton, 5-8, 185, ran 15 times for 105 yards and 2 scores in 34-0 win over Antelope Valley.

MINNESOTA WEST LB Demetrious Washington, 9 tackles, 3 forced fumbles, 2 sacks in win over Central Lakes.
