Last week against Long Beach City, Murrell posted a game-high 206 yards and two touchdowns – including one for 80 yards.
"I had a pretty good day last week," Murrell admitted to JCFootball.com. "We blocked well and I got hot and they kept feeding it to me."
For the season, Murrell has rushed for 688 yards and nine touchdowns in seven games.
"I've improved my pass-blocking a lot I think," Murrell said. "That was something I had to work on this year and I think I've done a lot better."
On the recruiting front, Murrell is hearing quite a bit from UNLV, UTEP, Boise State, Idaho and Washington.
"I don't have any offers yet, but a lot of the schools said they want to see my whole season and then get me up to their school on a visit before they offer me," Murrell said. "Both Washington and UNLV have said they want me to visit, but not until December when they like players to come and visit.
"Washington always stops by and watches us and UNLV and UTEP are schools that have showed a lot of interest. I'm open to everyone so it's cool."
Murrell said he's still on pace to graduate in December.
