Blinn #1

Blinn's Buccaneers zipped through 12 opponents, including a 19-6 triumph over 10-1 Pearl River, Miss. in the Pilgim's Pride Bowl, to capture it's second J.C. Grid-Wire national Junior College championship.

El Camino, Calif. made the decision very difficult by closing with four straight wins over tough playoff foes, but a pair of close losses during the season swayed the vote in Blinn's favor.  The Texas school also won the title in 1996.
