Arkansas Baptist College Preview

The third of three brand new programs to the NJCAA is Arkanas Baptist College and we here at JCFootball.com have previewed the other two – Fond Du Lac and Globe – and so head coach Richard Wilson begins his tenure with the Buffaloes this fall. Here's a look ahead for the last of the three newest additions to the JC football landscape.

Ar kansas Baptist is the first two-year football program in Ar kansas in 50 years and they had 141 players travel to first scrimmage of fall camp to take on East Texas Baptist College.

Wilson was an assistant coach at the University of Arkansas, Clemson, Oklahoma State and Minnesota and has hired a couple of NFL players as assistants including Reggie Swinton and Isaac Davis. Both of his coordinators – Joe Johnsaonand (offense) and Anias Johnson (defense) – were assistants at Fort Valley State.

The Buffaloes will play their home games at War Memorial Stadium (Arkansas' home field) and they will play eight games against Southwest Athletic Football Conference foes including the game thay played this last weekend against Trinity Valley Community College.

Two players to keep an eye on this fall for the Buffaloes are RB Mike Harris who signed with Arkansas this past year (2007) and LB Keith Hubbard a 2005 signee.
