Staudt is a bookend tackle

Big, phyiscal bookend tackles are tough to find, but North Iowa's Kyle Staudt (6-5, 305) fits that bill nicely. He's had a solid season for the Trojans and he's got some four year schools who are interested in bringing him in for a visit.

"We've had a good season and we have a bowl game coming up on the 18th (of November) against Joliet," Staudt told JCFootball.com recently. "They have a good team so we'll have to be ready, but we have some talent ourselves so it should be a good game."

Staudt plays strong tackle for NIACC and said he's open to playing anywhere along the line he's needed.

"I'm good in space and at pass-pro," Staudt said. "I like to be physical too though and drive guys off the ball.

"Basically whatever is needed from me is what I will do."

On the recruiting front, Staudt has seen some interest pick up for his services, but not as much as one would expect from such a talented player.

"Kansas, Temple, South Dakota State, Northern Iowa, Central Arkansas and Stoneybrook are the ones really recruiting me right now," Staudt said. "Central Arkansas and Stonebrook want me to visit so I will probably set something up with them in the near future, but nothing is really set in stone right now.

"I think I can play D-1 ball, but I just need to get more looks from schools. We'll see what happens."

We'll have more from Staudt in the coming weeks.
