Mohler talks about Colorado commitment

It's been a wild year for Orange Coast LB Shaun Mohler (6-3, 225). He originally committed to Cal in May, but then switched that up after visiting Nebraska in July. When the Huskers fired head coach Bill Callahan after a disappointing season, Mohler began to look around again and this past weekend he settled on another Big 12 school and this time, he said, that's it for him.

"It was a lot of fun there," Mohler said on Monday night. "We had a lot of fun and I just felt real comfortable with the staff there and what they have going on there.

"They like their linebackers to attack and that's what I'm best at. I just felt like I could really be effective in their system and help bring them back to where Colorado used to be a few years ago."

Mohler finished the season with over 93 tackles, 22 tackles-for-loss, six sacks and one interception and was again a 1st Team All-Mission Conference selection.

"I committed to those other schools before I really should have," Mohler said. "I should have given it more time, but when you're on visits it just feels right, but my family supports my decision and I know I'll be happy in Boulder."

Mohler will finish up his course-work in May and he'll have three years to play two when he arrives on campus.
