Williams will hoot with the Owls in 2008

It wasn't long ago that JCFootball.com talked to Arizona Western DE Josh Williams (6-2, 260), but he put in a call on Tuesday to let us know he's made his decision and he couldn't be happier about it.

"I committed to Temple about an hour ago," an excited and relieved Williams told JCFootball.com on Tuesday evening. "It's so exciting to have my school paid for and the fact that I'm from Queens, New York so my family won't have to go too far to watch me play.

"I just had a great time while I was up there on my visit last weekend and I actually committed to the coaches then because I got so caught up in the moment, but then I started to realize I did this before when I was coming out of high school -- when I committed to Boston College -- so I wanted to think about things a little more.

"Then today, head coach Al Golden called me and he asked me what's going on and why I'm not committed," Williams said. "That's when I kind of told him what I was feeling and he said 'hey man, we really want you and we need you' and that's when I said I wanted to stay committed to them.

"He was really happy and said I won't regret coming there and I believe him because I loved my time up there."

Williams committed to Temple over an offer from Middle Tennessee State and interest from Ole Miss, Mississippi State and Oregon State as well.
