Is Glazer headed to the Sun Belt?

The ongoing recruiting saga of Grossmont DT Ryan Glazer (6-3, 290) could be coming to an end soon. He's got a trip planned to a Sun Belt program in need of defensive tackle help and he said there's a very good chance he could end up there.

"I'm going to Louisiana-Lafayette on January 12th and if things go well there, that's probably where I'm going to end up going," Glazer told recently. "Their coaches told me they've been real high on my for a while and they like my abilities as a pass-rusher on the inside as well as my quickness and size."

Glazer orginally committed to Kansas back during the summer, but the two parties parted ways early in the football season and the young man from southern California has been searching for a new home ever since.

"I tripped to Arizona for their game against Oregon, but things didn't work out for me to get an offer," Glazer noted. "San Diego State was close to offering me, but they decided to go a different direction so they didn't offer me.

"Some D-1AA schools are recruiting me pretty hard, but I think I'll probably end up at Louisiana-Lafayette. South Dakota and North Dakota have both been coming on strong, but I want to play D-1 ball because that's been a dream of mine since I was a kid."

Glazer finished the season with 40 tackles and six sacks.

Glazer is eligible to leave Grossmont now that he's finished up his two-year degree so if he decides to head to Louisiana-Lafayette he can enroll there for the start of their next semester which begins on January 28th.
